Something to add here, “You need to be friends in Spectre Divide, not just friends on the platform you are playing on.”
I have no option while my friend is online/offline, in my party or not, to add them as a friend in Spectre Divide as they are already my friend on Xbox.
I’ve seen a work around online to unadd them on Xbox, and then add them as a friend in game, but that is unnecessary extra steps.
This is also not working on PC
